TIMPERLEY man John Quinton-Barber (44) successfully sprinted up London’s third tallest skyscraper Tower 42, to raise money for Shelter.
John, managing director at Sale based Social Communications, ran up all 922 steps in under eight minutes on March 2, raising almost £300 for the housing and homelessness charity.
John, 44, said: 'It was an honour to race up Tower 42 in aid of a charity that I have supported for more than 20 years.
"The challenge was tougher than I anticipated but I didn’t mind as it was nothing in comparison to the challenges that thousands of families go through to try and secure a decent roof over their heads.”
