A CYCLE course for people who help people with disabilities is set to start later this month.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has teamed up with charity Cycling Projects to deliver a free one-day courses on inclusive cycling activities, which take place at venues across Greater Manchester.

The accredited course will help people get to grips with the wide range of adapted cycles now available.

There will also be advice on teaching skills and working with clients, a session planning workshop and help to prepare risk assessments.

The training course also qualifies delegates as a ‘Wheels for All’ leader, and able to volunteer to help deliver cycling activities for people with disabilities or differing needs at local centres.

Nick Fisher, customer operations director at TfGM said: “Cycling really is for everyone. A wide range of adaptive bikes are now available so giving cycling a go can be a real option for many people with disabilities or differing needs."
