A YOUNG 10-year-old entrepreneur has met with one of Trafford's leading politicians.

Stretford and Urmston MP Kate Green met with Megan Dunn, who is the owner of MegzGemz.

According to Ms Green, like many other young people, Megan, who had always had a passion for arts and crafts, decided to take her creativity to the next level and set up MegzGemz, a company which ‘blings’ different products to give them an unforgettable sparkle.

Megan started blinging up everything from photo frames to phone cases with her nana, Mandy, earlier last year, inspiring her to set up the company.

Since then MegzGemz has gone from strength to strength. Megan has now made more than £100 profit and is branching out into blinging a whole range of other products, including babies dummies!

The young Year 6 entrepreneur at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School, plans to keep growing her company and was busy making a whole range of sparkly festive gifts for all the family in the lead up to Christmas.

Kate, who first met Megan at the Our Lady of Lourdes garden party in September, was really impressed with Megan’s business and wanted to find out more.

Kate said, “It was a real pleasure to meet a fabulous young entrepreneur like Megan.

“It’s great to see a small business woman in the making with so much determination to do well.

“I will make sure I do all I can to support local young entrepreneurs - the wealth creators of the future.”
