A WOMAN has died after she fell off her bike following a collision with a pedestrian in Altrincham
The incident occurred at around 5.15pm on Friday, January 2 when a 49-year-old woman was riding her pedal cycle east along the bridge outside Tesco in Moss Lane.
The cyclist was taken to hospital where she died yesterday, Sunday January 4.
Police are appealing for information on the collision.
PC Neil Pennington from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts and sympathies go out to this woman’s family who are being supported by specially trained officers at this tragic time.
“We have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances leading up to the collision. If you were in the area on Friday evening and witnessed the incident, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
