KATE Green, MP for Stretford & Urmston, is hosting a public meeting to discuss fly tipping with residents on Saturday (October 18) at 4pm in the St John’s Centre, Old Trafford.

Residents can let Ms Green know about their specific issues with fly tipping, litter and bins.

Councillors from the area, Sophie Taylor, Whit Stennett and Anne Duffield will also be attending to listen to people's concerns and discuss how they’ve been pressing the Council on this issue.

Ms Green said, “Over the past few months I’ve had far too many Old Trafford residents contact me really concerned about the levels of fly-tipping and litter in our community.

“Unfortunately I’ve heard some really horrible stories from residents about vermin in the area. It’s really shocking to hear about this happening round here and it needs to be stopped.

“We all need to work together to tackle this problem and share ideas about what can be done.
