Over By Christmas
HISTORY came to life on Hale station when Theatre in the Quarter performed Over By Christmas.
The poignant production highlighted the hopes and fears of men leaving to fight in the First World War and featured songs from the era, including Pack Up Your Troubles and Keep The Home Fires Burning.
Hale was one of 23 stations chosen to stage the event which also featured Laurence Binyon’s moving poem For The Fallen.
The performance took place on Saturday.
