CHILDREN from Wellgreen Primary School are enjoying the fruits of their Labour, as poppies they planted to commemorate the centenary of the First World War are now flowering in Halecroft Park, Hale.
The Friends of Halecroft Park will be holding a special remembrance event on August 4, to mark the day Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated – considered the catalyst for the First World War.
Pictured are Lee Holloway, Sophie Roberts, Zaara Shabber and Coby McKay, all seven.
