Your chance to tour the new Altrincham Hospital site tomorrow
Updated 11:41am Tuesday 6th May 2014 in News
CHESHIRE-based construction firm Pochin Construction Ltd will be hosting a site tour of the new Altrincham Hospital for selected members of the local community tomorrow, Wednesday, May 7.
The invitation is open to 20 members of the public and begins at 5pm. The evening tour will follow the official topping out ceremony, which will be celebrated by Pochin Property, CMFT, CityBranch and Pochin Construction earlier in the afternoon. Pochin has been appointed to deliver the £13m, four-storey hospital by new owner Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and developer Citybranch.
The project is expected to reach its final completion in winter 2014/15.
Those interested in visiting the site and receiving a guided tour can apply for the opportunity via email. A list of 20 attendees will then be selected at random and invited to discuss the programme and receive a tour of the site from 5pm to 6pm.
Jonathan Pochin, managing director at Pochin Construction, said: “We have worked in partnership with the Altrincham community for some time now, and we’re looking forward to the boost that the new hospital will give to the local construction industry.
“The tour and conversation about the complexities involved in delivering a hospital is an important opportunity to engage locals with the project. We look forward to discussing the impact that the building will have on future local development with those that it will benefit most.”
Peter Mount, chairman of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The new hospital in Altrincham will provide a modern, high quality environment for a wide range of clinical services that will be of great benefit to local people.
"We are delighted that the new development is making such good progress and we look forward to its completion and opening next year.”
Anyone wishing to visit the site can contact Pochin’s press office by emailing email@example.com or call 0161 236 1352 with their gender, shoe size and any accessibility issues, if any.
