A TIMPERLEY mum is running the London Marathon in aid of Starlight Children’s Foundation – which hopes to make her daughter’s dream of meeting Miley Cyrus come true.
This Sunday, Corrinne Bradshaw will be running the marathon in aid of the national charity, which grants the once-in-a-lifetime wishes of seriously and terminally ill children.
When Corinne’s daughter, Laura, was 10-years-old, she was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Eosinophilic Colitis.
Laura has to cope with a huge amount of pain on a daily basis and requires a large amount of medication.
There are currently 17 seriously ill children like Laura in Cheshire, who are waiting to have their wishes granted.
“Laura has had such a tough time since she first became poorly and it will mean a huge amount to me to see her smile,” said Corinne.
“I have seen how much a Starlight wish has meant to her and, by running the London Marathon, I hope to be able to give that gift to other brave children and young people like her.”
