BEAUTIFUL South star Paul Heaton sang that ‘From Northenden to Partington it’s rain, From Altrincham to Chadderton it’s rain’ in his song ‘Manchester’.
But when he came to Sale on Tuesday, it was a pleasant spring day.
The singer-songwriter and his crew took over a shop in the Square shopping centre to film his latest video.
Comedian Johnny Vegas directed the video, in which Heaton played a street mime artist.
The shop was transformed into a charity store for the day.
The video featured a group of rioting OAPs.
And the shop makeover was so convincing that some shoppers thought it was a genuine store - and queued to get in.
