TV WEATHERMAN Fred Talbot, from Bowdon, has pleaded not guilty to nine counts of indecent assault and of one committing an act of gross indecency.
The 64-year-old former teacher is alleged to have committed the offences between 1968 and 1983.
Four of the alleged victims attended Altrincham Grammar School for Boys and one was at Elgin High in Newcastle.
Mr Talbot was granted bail when he appeared at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, today, Tuesday.
Judge Jeffrey Lewis granted bail until a further preliminary hearing at Minshull Street on May 27.
His conditions of bail stipulate he must live at his home address and have no contact with witnesses and alleged victims and must not have unsupervised contact with a child.
Mr Talbot is best known for his work on the Granada TV weather broadcasts and on the ITV programme This Morning when it was hosted by Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan in the 1980s and 1990s.
