THE chairman of the Altrincham and Sale Chamber of Commerce is hoping to raise funds for a children’s charity by completing the three World Marathon Majors.

Tony Collier completed the New York marathon on November 3 but is heading off to Japan in preparation for his second marathon in Tokyo and is eager to raise money for The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.

This local charity supports underprivileged and disadvantaged children across the North West and ranges from children from poor backgrounds through to even less fortunate children who might be terminally ill.

The charity gets no public funding and has to raise every penny of the near £1million it spends to run the farm.

Tony heads off to Japan on February 18 and the marathon is on February 23.

His final marathon in London will be on April 13.
