A FAMILY-run firm is set to open a new warehouse in Trafford – 10 years after a major fire engulfed the manufacturing site in Carrington.
Sun and personal care specialist manufacturers Linco Care Ltd, which boasts several well-known high street brands including Calypso sun care, stayed in business against the odds after losing over £1.5m worth of stock and sustaining severe damage to its offices following the fire in 2003.
Its entrepreneurial owners and dedicated staff - most of whom live within a few miles of the Carrington site - have overseen an impressive reversal of fortune.
Linco Care has invested close to £1m in the new 25,000 square foot building that sits on the original production site and now employs more than 50 people from the immediate area.
Ken Beck, senior accounts manager at Linco Care, said: “Thanks to the hard work of the owners and staff, Linco Care is going from strength to strength.”
He added: “The new warehouse is a symbol of Linco Care’s success and growth over the last ten years and with our brands, people and new warehouse now in place, we’re looking forward to a bumper next ten years from our base in Carrington.”
