TV weatherman Fred Talbot has been released on bail after being rearrested by detectives investigating reports of historic sexual abuse at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys yesterday, December 16.
Talbot, 63, from Bowdon, was initially arrested on April 9 on suspicion of historic sex offences in relation to allegations of abuse against four former pupils who attended the school during his time as a teacher there.
He remains on police bail in relation to one count of indecent assault, but no further action has been taken in relation to the other offences he was originally arrested on suspicion of.
Yesterday, December 16, he was further arrested on suspicion of indecent assaults and gross indecency in relation to five other former pupils.
He was also arrested on suspicion of indecent assault in relation offences alleged to have occurred in the North East of England.
He has been bailed until January 27 pending further enquires
