BARTON Bridge has reopened after a lorry overturned on the bridge, closing two lanes on the M60.
The vehicle overturned at around 11am, causing police to close lanes two and three clockwise between Junction 10, the Trafford Centre, and Junction 11, Barton, resulting in queuing traffic.
Lanes one and two of the busy motorway were also closed anti-clockwise due to strong winds and to allow emergency services to recover the stranded vehicle.
Thelwall Viaduct, on the M6, has also reopened after authorities were forced to close it due to the stong winds.
