TEA for TWO: Sisters Maisie, aged five, and two-year-old Ellie Sayer,of Hale, joined in the celebrations at Altrincham's traditional toy shop, Village Toy Company, as it marked its first birthday.
Owner, Lisa McCarthy, said:"The shop has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months, and we are delighted to be marking our first birthday at the same time as enjoying our first full Christmas trading period.
"Customers really appreciate the fact that we are bringing something different to the high street and are able to offer services such as free local delivery on larger purchases."
The past year has seen the store's website - villagetoycompany.co.uk - scoop an award from Mumpreneur UK just weeks after its launch and, in October, the shop was awarded runner-up Start Up Business of the Year by the Altrincham and Sale Chamber of Commerce.
The shop specialises in traditional, wooden and educational toys.
