A SINGLE mum from Urmston is appealing for sponsorship to help her daughter turn her modelling dream into reality.
Bayley-Rio Sibthorpe, 14, has reached the final of the Miss Teen Galaxy England Pageant and needs cash to pay for outfits to wear during the competition.
Her mum Alexia, 38, said the teenager, a student at Flixton Girls School, needs a main evening gown and a party outfit when she represents Trafford in the final in March.
The Flixton Road resident, beat off competition from hundreds of girls to reach this stage of the pageant and Alexia said: “If any companies want to hire Bayley-Rio - I’m not asking for thousands of pounds of sponsorship - she can do any promotional work in return.
“She can do some good - she can help raise money. She wants to give something back to the community and it’s not just about us asking people to pay for the dresses.”
Alexia, a youth worker, said the budding model has her own page on the official pageant website and sponsors will be able to advertise their services on the page.
If she wins the competition, her main prize will be a dream trip to Florida to compete for the UK in the world final.
Bayley-Rio said she’s “very excited” to have reached this stage of the pageant and said her school friends have been very supportive.
