A CHARITY based at Wythenshawe Hospital which is committed to eradicating Breast Cancer has raised £5,000 at its October Tea Party..
Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention (GBCP) – the UK’s only charity dedicated entirely to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer – held the event at the Midland Hotel.
Guests who attended the event – hosted by TV and radio presenter, Michelle Eagleton – enjoyed a sparkling champagne reception and enjoyed entertainment from talented singer, Lucy Hope.
Pam Glass, GBCP trustee, said: “The October Tea Party was a great success, both socially and financially, so thank you to everyone who attended.
“With their help and support, we’re getting closer and closer to creating a future without breast cancer.”
The tea party was held in place of Genesis’ annual Ladies’ Lunch, in honour of its new campaign, The Genesis Tea Party Challenge, which aims to raise £100,000.
