THERE is still time for people in Trafford to have their say about election day polling stations as part of a national requirement for local authorities to carry out a review every four years, with the consultation running throughout October.

Trafford Council’s returning officer, chief executive Theresa Grant, said: “The council recognises the importance of providing every local resident eligible to vote with access to reasonable, accessible polling stations.

“This review gives local people the chance to give us their opinions on our current polling stations. I would encourage as many people as possible to take the time to get involved.”

Residents can get information regarding the current polling districts and places by contacting electoral services at Trafford Town Hall, in Stretford, or logging onto trafford.gov.uk Once the consultation has finished, the returning officer will publish representations on proposed polling districts and places by November 18.

Feedback can also be submitted by email to elections@trafford.gov.uk.
