ST Ambrose College's under-13 rugby players capped a glittering season by lifting the Cheshire county title with a dazzling display of authentic rugby skills from all 15 men.
The cherry and blues from Hale Barns continued the Catholic College's outstanding tradition of skilful football in a 22 – 5 win over tough opponents Wirral Grammar The St. Ambrose under-13s played 24 and won 22 games this season, also winning the internationally renowned Berkhamsted Plate Sevens competition.
Coach Paul Howarth said: “It was a superb display and a fitting end to a magnificent season with some outstanding pieces of indivdual skill built on a gritty, defensive team display with some outstanding ball winning and retention skills from the forwards.”
