THE hit Monty Python musical Spamalot will be returning to the Liverpool Empire next month for a special six-day run of performances.
The show, based on the film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail and written by Eric Idle, is back in the city after a successful West End stint and UK tour in 2010.
A spokesman said: “Audiences all around the world have been roaring with laughter since Monty Python’s Spamalot won the Tony Award for Best Musical.
“Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, cows, killer rabbits and French people.”
The Liverpool run reunites Marcus Brigstocke, Jodie Prenger and Todd Carty from the original national cast which peformed to more than 300,000 people in 2010. Performances run from January 16 to 21.
