ORIGINALLY released as a download with an optional fee, Radiohead have once again returned to the music scene in a blaze of controversy.
Now finally available commercially for the new year, In Rainbows should bring further success for the band on the shop shelves.
Perhaps not accessible enough to attract many new listeners, Radiohead's seventh studio album is nevertheless a remarkable return to form.
And it will particularly appeal to fans who felt disenchanted with the last two or three albums the band have put out.
Electro influences are still present but this is melded gorgeously with a gentle guitar buzz and frontman Thom Yorke's flowing vocals.
All I Need and Bodysnatchers are very strong and new single Jigsaw Falling Into Place combines new ideas with the band's trademark sound.
In Rainbows also has a lot less in the way of depressing lyrics that Radiohead are renowned for with Yorke proudly claiming it to be his seduction album...
