A CREWE panto starlet will be heading to the West End after her panto run this Christmas.

Zara Warren, who will be playing Sleeping Beauty in this year’s Christmas pantomime at Crewe’s Lyceum Theatre, has just landed a lead role in the West End hit show Jersey Boys from January onwards.

Zara, who made her West End debut two years ago in Hairspray, said: “I am really looking forward to my new role, as working on the West End stage is so exciting, but I will really miss all my panto friends.

“Being part of a pantomime in the run up to Christmas is so much fun, it’s really magical.

"I especially enjoy playing a princess role – I love the outfits that I get to wear as Sleeping Beauty!”

Steve Boden, director of the panto from Imagine Theatre, said: “We are all really proud of Zara and wish her all the best in her new role in the West End.

“It is fantastic to have a talent like Zara in the pantomime this year – it really will be a show to remember.”

Zara will be appearing in Sleeping Beauty at the Lyceum until Saturday January 2.
