I WOULD like to invite your readers to take on the challenge of a lifetime and experience the breathtaking sites of the African plains by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in support of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

At 5896m and rising majestically out of the surrounding plains, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain and is a breathtaking sight. It is one of the largest volcanoes to ever break through the earth's crust and is among the highest freestanding mountains in the world.

Marie Curie Cancer Care allows terminally ill patients to die in their own homes surrounded by their family in the place that they treasure. By taking on this challenge your readers will ensure this nursing service continues in their local area.

The trek has been organised for July 2009, however willing challengers will need to sign up soon as places are in demand. This is the most challenging event that we organise and is certainly not for the faint hearted! But I know that there are individuals out there who love to push themselves and we would really love to hear from anyone who feels that they can take on this amazing challenge.
