I AM writing in the response to the recent stories in the Messenger, dated October 2, regarding the dog attack.
These dangerous dogs, whatever breed they are, should be registered by law, kept on the lead while out and if need be muzzled.
It would not prevent them from being exercised, taken for walks, which every animal should be entitled to, but would make the public feel safer.
