BEFORE stepping out of your front door these days,especially if you are taking a trip to Urmston town centre, make sure you have your tin helmet on, because Urmston at the moment resembles the aftermath of a night’s bombing raid by the Luftwaffe and it’s only through the likes of Bernard Murray’s delicatessen and the remaining shopkeepers that the people of the town are not on war rations.
With the chaos, disruption and money spent on building this new shopping precinct, let’s hope there is a chink of light at the end of the tunnel for Urmston, otherwise it’s going to take more than a couple of get out of jail cards to get it back to the bustling town it used to be.
