SO THAT the right decision on the future of Trafford Town Hall can be made, why have no plans been submitted so that we the ratepayers (owners) can make a viable decision on the matter, and all other relevant points this proposal would have on the residents, traffic and cost (increased tax?) Over the years the cricket ground has sold off parts of their land for office blocks, bowling alley (Now B&Q) and extended the restaurant on site, cutting down on car park spaces.

If extension of the ground has been on their agenda, why did they not consider purchasing the ground next door before Kellogg's built their offices.

Is part of the plan to close Talbot Road on that stretch, thereby pushing more traffic onto Chester Road and causing more mayhem, like at the Trafford Centre?

New council offices were built in Urmston. They did not have as long a life as Trafford Town Hall has had, and can further have if the money was spent on it.

Sale Town Hall has been upgraded, a lot of their offices were similar to Stretford, but an extension was built onto it, and I might add with a ground floor library.

Why should the public have to cover the £30 million for any private organisation, surely it would be cheaper to the ratepayer to spend £3million on repairs to our own building, which should be listed so that no further attempt by any political party to dispose of it can be made.

I hope that as decisions are voted on by our elected council and not a closed sub-committee, and that parties with a vested interest abstain from all discussions and votes.
