REFERENCE the Messenger October 21. We would like to reply to what we can only call Cllr Susan Williams' "Address to the Borough."

To the first two paragraphs our comment is this - Thank goodness you are taking lessons on performance improvement. You and your executives certainly need this tuition.

In your final paragraphs you discuss the size of the borough's gross budget. .

We believe it is an attempt to blind the electorate with budgetary science.

The executive, took with them to their four star Kendal hide-away the seven salaried town hall officers who comprise the corporate management team, all these officials paid in the lower six figure or higher five brackets.

Surely these officers are capable of paying their own way. They were already on our time, and claiming travelling expenses.

We doubt they would have agreed to go on those terms: The town hall and a "Do Not Disturb" notice would have proved adequate centration.
