NEIL Briggs believes Sale Sharks have turned a corner after a second win in a row against Cardiff Blues in the Anglo Welsh Cup.
After 10 straight defeats, Sharks have now won two games in cup competitions within the space of a week.
They beat Scarlets in the European Champions Cup and then on Friday night recorded a bonus-point 41-3 win against the Blues on home soil.
Briggs told the club’s website: “We have turned the corner now after two wins on the bounce at home.
“That momentum will help us go into Harlequins away and we will then take it into the Premiership.”
Five out of the seven tries which were scored on the night came from set-piece moves from the forwards, which Briggs admitted is something they are looking to make even stronger as a team.
He said: “We know that in order for us go forward and build an attack we need to get our set pieces right. Whether that’s getting the ball back to eight, going for the penalty or driving from the line-out we know that those set pieces are very important.”
