SALE Sharks' Bryn Evans blamed errors as the team lost 26-13 at home to Saracens in the Aviva Premiership on Sunday.
The hosts led 7-3 through Josh Beaumont's first-half try, before the visitors responded with scores from Marcelo Bosch, Matt Gallagher and Ben Spencer.
Second-rower Evans told the club's website: "Our errors cost us. Errors and ill-discipline let them build a score and we ended up chasing the game.
"We would put a few good phases together and make headway and then it was the last pass or an individual error that let us down."
"Saracens are a top side and they did well to disrupt us.
"They made a mess of our ball but we made it a bit too easy for them.
"We needed to focus on our jobs and provide a good platform for the backs but instead Saracens capitalised on errors and scored long-range tries that really hurt us."
Next up in the league on Sunday, Sharks travel to Coventry to face a Wasps side they beat recently in the Anglo-Welsh Cup, kick off 2.30pm.
