WILL Addison has signed a new three-year deal at Sale Sharks.

Addison has started the season in blistering form and is the top points scorer for Sharks with 30.

The Penrith-born flyer was fast-tracked into the starting XV in the autumn of 2011 to score two tries in a friendly against Oxford University.

The scorer of the last Sharks' try at Edgeley Park and first at the AJ Bell Stadium, Addison has since taken his appearance tally to 86.

He was the only points scorer for Sharks in their disappointing 30-3 defeat at Bath last Friday.

Addison said: "I am delighted to sign a new deal with the club.

"Since arriving here, the club have helped me develop as a player and I am happy here.

"I know what the new owners are looking to achieve.

"Sale Sharks is a great place to be  and I want to play my part in helping deliver success for the club and the supporters.”

Sharks director of rugby Steve Diamond added: "When Will agreed to sign a new deal we were delighted.

"With new owners Simon Orange and Ged Mason running the club, their number one goal was to make sure the club not only develops new talent but retains them too.

"With Josh Beaumont, Sam James and Mike Haley pledging their futures to the club our supporters will now believe in what the board and I are trying to do.”
