STEVE Diamond admits Sale Sharks were soundly beaten by Leicester Tigers last weekend as his side slipped to seventh in the Aviva Premiership.
The Sharks were distinctly second best in the first half of the 28-8 away defeat which they will attempt to rectify tomorrow night at Bath.
"We were comprehensively beaten in the first half, we were bullied," said coach Diamond.
"Leicester were the Leicester of old at home."
Sale had Tom Arscott and Magnus Lund both yellow carded on a bad day all round for the Sharks who started the day above their opponents.
"Their forward pack got hold of us and rag-dolled us," said Diamond. "We only had 10 per cent possession.
"In the second half we got back into it and had a bit of a brain freeze. We could have got a bonus point out of it if we had had more composure and kicked those penalties from in front of the posts."
