SALE have kept the faith with the majority of the side who lost 26-18 at home to Newcastle last week as they look to bounce back against Harlequins tonight.

The last time the two sides met during the autumn internationals it ended in disaster for Sale, as the lost 19-13 at Edgeley Park back in November 2004.

But the side this time round is almost unrecognisable from the one fielded that day, with Barry Stewart, Chris Day, Dean Schofield, Magnus Lund and Sebastien Chabal the only survivors, although Stuart Turner, Sililo Martens, Steve Hanley and Chris Mayor also started that day.

The current Sharks side has much greater strength in depth, although they still have their weaknesses, as shown in the defeat against Newcastle.

That should be merely a blip though and the fact that Philippe Saint-Andre has made few changes shows that he believes they have the quality to turn it around.

Up front Barry Stewart replaces Ben Evans in the front row, while Chris Day comes in for Sean Cox alongside Dean Schofield and the back row remains unchanged.

Although the backs performed poorly against Newcastle, the only change is in the midfield, where Lee Thomas comes in at inside centre and fellow countryman Mark Taylor shifts to his more familiar position at 13 to replace Chris Mayor.

Meanwhile Harlequins have made just one change from the team that beat Worcester last week as they look to continue their recent run of good form that has seen them win three in a row in the league.

Former Shark Mel Deane comes in at inside centre to replace the injured Jordan Turner-Hall.
