SALE FC Rugby saw their winning streak brought to an end on Saturday by the Rams who continued their incredible season with an impressive 26-19 away victory.

Now up to third, a very disciplined performance saw the visitors secure a third straight win.

An opening try came for the Rams after 32 minutes with fly-half Andrew Humberstone adding the conversion.

A second then arrived a minute shy of the interval when, after multiple phases of hard work deep in Sale territory, Ben Henderson crashed over.

Humberstone was again on the money with the extras, making it 14-0 to the visitors at the break.

Sale struck back after the restart as Teddy Leatherbarrow found himself hitching a ride on the back of a rolling maul to touch down with Chris Johnson adding the conversion.

The home side pushed to get the vital next score but instead, a wonderful counter-attack saw the Rams go clear.

Connor Hayhow offloaded to full-back Kieran Leicester for the try on 70 minutes with Humberstone again adding the extras to build a 14-point lead.

Four minutes later the visitors secured the bonus-point when Jak Rossiter side-stepped multiple Sale defenders to touch down an unconverted score.

A late rally from the hosts saw Sale secure a losing bonus-point with Sam Dugdale and Andy Hughes crossing the whitewash but they could not claw back the deficit.
