TIMPERLEY Cons kept alive their hopes of topping Group B in the Knockout Cup of the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League with a fine 9-1 win against Central B.
The victory puts them level on points with Cringle wood who they face next week in the final round of matches.
Cringlewood lost their first half 3-2 against Budenburgs, but then they bounced back and won the second half 4-1 which gave them the two points they needed to keep level with Cons.
During the encounter, Cringlewood's Danny O'Donnell hit a fantastic nine-dart leg – the least darts throw in any given leg throughout the summer season.
The minimum possible is seven darts which has never been done in the history of the league.
Elsewhere, Central A beat Carter's Arms 4-1 and then 3-2 in Group A, while Navigation had a 10-0 double walkover against Railway Hale.
Group leaders Jolly Butcher had no match, but going in to the final round they still need a win to beat Central A and Carter's Arms to top spot.
