THE tension mounts in Altrincham on Saturday as competitors in the Tour of Britain prepare to begin the final stage of the race.
Crowds flocked to the town to witness world class cyclists, including Britain's Mark Cavendish, in the flesh.
The race began at 11am on Market Street and passed through the town centre before heading out through Hale.
