TIMPERLEY Cricket Club experienced one of their better weekends this season when all four senior teams won their fixtures on Saturday.
The first XI beat Cheadle convincingly by eight wickets, their opponents reaching 121 all out (Dan Brown 49, scott Johnston 3-52) in 47.4 overs before Timperley responded with 125-2 (Furqan Shafiq 51, Grant Hodnett 36 not out) in 25.1 overs.
The seconds continued their title challenge at Urmston and ran out comfortable winners.
Batting first, Urmston scored 72 all out in 26.4 overs, struggling against Muhammed Rizvi (3-19) and Nugith Jayawarna (3-7). Only M Brown offered any real resistance with 36.
In reply, Timperley raced to 75-2 in 12 overs to seal victory (Jamie Matthews 26).
Batting first at Cheadle Hulme, Timperley third XI scored 252-5dec off 35 overs with Pankaj Mishra (112no) recording his first century for the club and Raghu Bhaskar hitting 59no.
In reply, Cheadle Hulme laboured to 70 all out off 37 overs, Vipul Garg taking 4-13.
The fourths played Appleton and won by 10 wickets in a rain-reduced fixture.
Batting first Appleton reached 103-7 off 34 overs, Mo Usman the pick of the Timperley bowling with 3-28.
In reply, Timperley smashed 107-0 in 15.5 overs, Farooq Shah scoring 63no, with Kabir Khan in support (38no).
On Sunday, the third XI played in the Cheshire Cricket League T20 Second XI Final at Oakmere against Chester Boughton Hall 3A XI and went down to a string Chester side who scored 200 off their 20 overs.
Timperley replied with a creditable 143, with Bhaskar contributing a belligerent 54 off 23 balls.
