CRINGLEWOOD remain top of the early Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League table after a 10-0 walkover against Railway Hale.

Jolly Butcher played Central A and took the first half 3½-1½, before an incredible battle took place in the second half with both teams throwing fantastic darts.

It was nip and tuck all the way and in the final leg team captains Stuart Graham, of the Jolly, and Andy McCormack, of Central A, played a winner-takes-all leg which fittingly went to a drawn leg 2½-2½, so both teams shared the points.

After a slow first week, British Rail got back on track in the second week of the season with a superb win against new team Carters Arms, taking a 5-0 followed by a 4-1 for all four points.

The Navigation played their first home match against Central B and got off to a good start with wins from Zoe Morris and Lee Morris before a valiant fight back from Central B, who pulled things back to draw the first half of the match 2½-2½.

In the second half, Central B came out fighting despite losing the first leg and they went on to win the next four to take the second half 4-1.

Timperley Cons played a resurgent Budenburgs team and captain Andy Brownhill led his side to victory, winning 3-2 twice.
