AFTER a winter season of domination in the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League, champions Jolly Butcher started their summer campaign with a draw against Budenburgs – the first point Butcher have dropped since joining the league.
However, as the Summer League is played in two halves, they bounced back to winning ways in the second half taking that one 4-1 and the two points.
Central B and Central A clashed, with the A team showing their strength in a 4-1 win followed by a 1½-3½ triumph to claim all four points.
Cringlewood excelled with back-to-back 5-0 victories against British Rail.
Dave Peploe hit a fantastic 12-dart leg which looked to be the least of the night until Cringlewood team-mate Callum Loose stepped up and hit a magnificent 10-dart leg – putting himself as having the least darts in the league so far.
The least darts attracts a prize payout at the end of the season.
The Navigation took on new team, Railway Hale, and kicked off their season with two 4-1 wins, propelling them to second spot in the league just behind Cringlewood.
