PLAYERS from the Sale and Altrincham Round the Board Darts League lost out to their Grappenhall League rivals in the latest inter-league clash at the Royal British Legion in Thelwall.

Both sets of 31 players got off to a great start, Broadheath Central on fine form taking some great wins from Andy McCormack, Darren Wood, Chris White and Mickey Roche.

Timperley Cons faced tough opponents but still managed to take a couple of wins via Gary Sullivan and Paul Murray.

The Cringlewood players had their ups and downs but won a couple with Danny O’Donnell and Mike Swindells on fantastic form.

Sole Station representative Zoe Morris pulled off a great victory in her match to help the Sale and Altrincham cause, while Nigel Beeton flew the flag for the British Rail and took his match.

The Jolly Butcher team had a titanic struggle with a mixed bag of wins and losses.

At the end of the night it was 15 matches a piece with one to play which went Grappenhall’s way meaning they took the trophy and title of inter-league winners 2019.

The leagues have faced each other four times with all home victories making it 2-2 overall.
