JENNY Page will take on her second lady captain role this summer after being appointed to the role at Sale Golf Club.

Page was lady captain at Davyhulme Park Golf Club in 2014 and, after joining Sale two years later, she has made a big impact and been part of some notable team successes.

Now she is relishing another great year as the lady captain of Sale.

Page, who is a customer sales executive for LSH Auto UK (Mercedes Benz), said: “The ladies' section at Sale is very competitive, so friendly, everyone wants to do well and we would like to think any new ladies joining are welcomed with open arms.

“My current handicap is 15 with a best of 12 and my favourite other course is Prestbury as it gave me a special moment by winning both the Manchester and District Ladies' Golf Association's Bell Cup, which was my own golfing highlight, and the East Cheshire Business Ladies' championship last year.

“My favourite hole at Sale is the par three 17th, as when winning the club mixed semi-finals last year with my partner, Martin Ash, against the formidable partnership of Mobi and Cath Rawthore, I hit the tee shot to within two feet of the pin for a birdie and we went on to win the finals.

“I am joining my captain, Terry Crewe, in supporting the Alex Hulme Foundation and Wythenshawe Hospital volunteers for my chosen charity.

“My hobbies other than golf are gardening and cross stitching and supporting Manchester United.

”My chosen players in a four-ball would be Derrick Page, because he introduced me to this wonderful game, Rory McIlroy for his temperament and his wedge play and finally Tommy Fleetwood for his iron play and his game in the Ryder Cup."
