THE Sale cricket derby was washed out on Saturday as Storm Hannah caused the whole of the Cheshire County League programme to be cancelled.
Only 17 overs were possible across the county as heavy rain and high winds meant seven points all round for every team.
This included the much-anticipated Sale derby between Sale CC's first XI and Brooklands at George’s Road and the return second XI match at Dane Road.
Sale's thirds and fourths had no fixture scheduled for Sunday.
This weekend, the firsts host Oxton at Dane Road and the second XI play the reverse fixture.
On Sunday, the third XI start their season at Timperley and then visit Ashley on bank holiday Monday.
