JOLLY Butcher have won the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League in their first season with four matches still to play.
The long-time leaders clinched the title by beating second-placed Cringlewood 4-3 in a tight match that went down to 3-3 before when Terry Jepson, of Jolly Butcher, came out on top against Cringlewood's Ray Patterson to secure the win and the title.
Cringlewood slip to third and are in a titanic battle with Timperley Cons for the runner-up spot.
Cons moved up a place by beating British Rail 5-2.
Elsewhere, Broadheath Central got back to winning ways with a 5-2 victory over Budenburgs.
Bottom two, Central and The Station, clashed and the latter won 4-3 when Danny Conroy beat Anthony Markham in the final game.
