BOWDON RFC Youth Development squad has seen further success with the news Will Nicholson has been invited for trial with the Northern Counties Under-18s squad.
Nicholson, a student at Altrincham Boys' Grammar School, started his rugby career at the age of six, coached initially by his mother Jane in Bowdon’s Minis and Juniors section.
Graduating to play for Bowdon’s first team this season, he and his team mates benefit from coaching by international players Byron McGuigan and Josh Strauss.
Bowdon are currently pushing for promotion near the top of North Lancs/Cheshire Division One.
"We were thrilled when Will was selected to play for Cheshire but not surprised," said his juniors coach Tim Martin.
"This opportunity to trial for Northern Counties is recognition of Will’s constant hard work and determination."
