LEADERS Jolly Butcher had a scare against Broadheath Central in the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League before clinching a narrow 4-3 win on the bullseye.

With the match tied at 3-3, Chris White was on last for Broadheath, and Stuart Graham for the Jolly, and when it went to 1-1 in legs, it came down to the last leg in which both players were on the bull.

So it was literally who could hit it first to take the match and the points, and captain Graham did the honours.

Elsewhere, British Rail came close to beating Cringlewood in another titanic struggle before losing 4-3, while Timperley Cons kept up their recent good form with a 6-1 victory against the Station.

Budenburgs have been hitting form of late and continued with a 4½-2½ win against the Central.

The star of the show was youngster Cameron Legg who took on veteran John Thierens and hit the bull to clinch victory.

Jolly Butcher remain top with Cringlewood second and Timperley Cons in hot pursuit in third.
