THE latest Manchester Alliance fixture was blessed with excellent weather, keeping up the impeccable record of Alliance captain Dave Green, and a full field enjoyed the revamped Styal course that was in great condition.

It was tight in the individual pro section with Chorley pro Mark Bradley enjoying a rare win, leading in with 39 points, one more than Phil Archer (Poulton Park) and Craig Corrigan.

Penwortham’s Ryan O’Neill also posted 38 points to win the assistant pro’s prize.

It was also tight in the pro-am section with the Leigh family duo of Sean and Mark Blinkhorn winning a card play-off on 44 points from O’Neill and Martin Packingham (Wigan) – one more than Corrigan and Chris Ireland (Lymm).

Stamford’s Paul Traynor and Richard Margrave were clear winners of the am-am section with 44 points ahead of Mike Fenton and Andy Hall (Chorlton) on 42 and home duo Harry Reid and Paul Jones on 41.

The prizes were presented by Styal member Alan Bullock of Bullocks Coaches, who has been a staunch supporter of Alliance events.
