Senior players from Trafford MV and Congleton rugby clubs
SENIOR players from Trafford MV and Congleton rugby clubs got together for an over-35s' vets fixture at the weekend.
The deceptive pace of some of the players was game managed by the heavy packs who slowed the game down to their pace whenever the opportunity came.
Trafford ran out eventual winners but all the players enjoyed the well-contested fixture and the two teams got together afterwards at The Oddballs Beer Bash at MV.
This weekend MV first XV are back in action with Widnes visiting MacPherson Park in round two of the ADM Premier League Cup.
Trafford faced Widnes just two weeks ago in the league and went down 36-30.
Kick off is at 2.15pm and entrance for spectators is free.
