ALTRINCHAM Kersal's under-14s added to their run of victories with a 22-17 triumph against Stockport.
The visitors took the lead having run in two quick tries in the first five minutes and with an added conversion took a 12-0 lead.
Altrincham rallied after some strong play breaking through the middle to make it 12-5, then some clever passing saw the ball whipped out to the wing for the home side to make it 12-10 at half time.
The second half saw Altrincham having the stronger start but, against the run of play, Stockport broke away from a penalty to take a 17-10 lead, which was short-lived as this proved to be the impetus for the home team to take charge.
More good play and a quick break down the wing reduced the deficit to 17-15, and Kersal continued to dominate the centre of the pitch, again breaking the visitors' defence and adding the conversion to make it 22-17.
The boys defended well for the final few minutes to earn a well-deserved victory over a very good visiting side.
