PLAYERS from the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League beat their counterparts from the Grappenhall 17-9 as the representative sides met ahead of the new winter season.
The best 26 players from each side played a leg at the home venue of Altrincham side Broadheath Central Club.
Altrincham and Sale got off to a great start, taking the first six legs before Grappenhall bounced back with four.
The home players built on their early performance after that and took most of the remaining legs to win overall on the night.
It was a magnificent display of darts from all the players from both leagues in a friendly atmosphere.
The return fixture will take place next year at a Grappenhall venue.
The winter 2019 season for Altrincham and Sale has started with the Jolly Butcher leading the way with two straight victories.
They are closely followed by Broadheath Central, who also have two wins.
