TIMPERLEY Conservative club are champions of the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts Winter League with a match still to play.
It left last week's games firmly focused on the runners-up spot with three teams – The Central, British Rail or The Cringlewood – in the chase.
Central beat Old Hall 6-1 to move into second for now.
The Cringlewood took a hugely impressive win against Budenburgs beating them 7-0, while British Rail had no match last week but are still in contention for second place.
At the other end of the table, Gardeners and Station clashed in a tight match which went down to the final game before Gardeners won 4-3.
The Gallon – played at the end of each match – which is effectively a pairs' competition – was won by Budenburgs, but the second spot is still up for grabs.
